Site's history
At the beginning the site was named a Carbine Fanclub and had a dark brownish layout. At that time, I was simple fanlisting with some extras. I just started my experience with English language and html. Basically it was a experiment, but it turned out good. I also noticed that I am not only one who still remembers Carbine.
During previous year(2007)the layout had been changed twice. The first one I got from Kao - it was a grey table design for my special request. It featured amazing Carbine fanart done by a really talented drawer - Cristinity. Getting her permission wasn't hard. With a new layout name changed into Carbine Shrine.
Some time later I thought that its time to update site again. I couldnt found my bmfm episodes, so updating a section with multimedia just ruled out. If not multimedia or information then what ... ? Of course the look ! That how version 5.8 has been created (you will ask why 5.8 since latest was 3 ? , during uploading the layout into geocities I had to make sooo many changed that it slowly became 3.2 , 3.4 , 3.6 .. and so on).
In the 2009 year geocites had announced quiting their service as hosting provider. It forced me to move my site, to prevent it from getting deleted. To be honest after several failed attempts I was ready to give up.
But fans resolve to collect everything about their hobby in one place, even though their forum was going down and stuff matching their interests were slowly vanishing from the internet, left me under huge impression . And the most suprising is that: they succeded. My attitude changed after watching their hard work and so my decision about the future of CS.
Thanks to owners of BE board, you can still pay a visit to Carbine Shrine. I dare to say, the benefits of moving the site, were bigger than loses. Geocities provide quite useful Adds-on (Guest Book, Statistics etc), but also annoying pop-up advertisment. New web hosting seems to be stable, and ads-less.[Screencap#1]
